The Benidorm theme-park cluster

Four big-name parks share the hill above Benidorm — Terra Mítica (rides), Terra Natura (animals + water), Aqualandia (water park), Mundomar (marine animals). They are run by two operating groups and sell combo tickets among themselves. You can comfortably do two parks in two days from any Benidorm hotel, and free shuttles run from the main hotel zones in season.

Terra Mítica — Spain's Mediterranean-themed flagship

Five themed zones (Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, The Islands) covering 1 million m². The headline coasters are Magnus Colossus (one of Europe's tallest wooden coasters), Inferno (looping inverted) and the Titánide flume. Plenty for under-8s in the Iberia zone too. Allow a full day; bring swimwear for the water rides.

Terra Natura + Aquanatura — animals meet water park

Terra Natura's habitats are open and walk-around — elephants, big cats, giraffes, rhinos in spacious enclosures with viewing platforms. The combined Aquanatura water park sits next door (single ticket covers both in summer). The best park for younger kids and the best value combo on the coast.

Mundomar — dolphins, sea lions & flamingos

Compact marine park with dolphin and sea-lion shows, walk-through bat cave, flamingo lagoon and a great kids' splash area. Two to three hours is plenty; combine with neighbouring Aqualandia on a single ticket for the best deal.

Pola Park — old-school family funfair, Santa Pola

Right on the Santa Pola harbour, Pola Park is the classic Spanish feria-style funfair: free entry, pay per ride or buy a €18 unlimited wristband. Rollercoaster, log flume, dodgems, ghost train, kiddy rides. Year-round weekends, daily in summer evenings. Pair it with the seafront and a sunset dinner on the port.

Tickets, combos & queue-skip strategy

  • Always buy online — 15–25% cheaper and skip the queue.
  • Terra Mítica + Aqualandia combo (2 days) saves around €30 per family of four.
  • Mundomar + Aqualandia combo is the single best-value family ticket in the cluster.
  • Annual passes are surprisingly cheap (~€90) — pay off in 2 visits if you holiday twice a year.
  • Arrive at opening time (10:00); do the headline coasters first; have lunch when queues peak.
  • Late-afternoon entry (after 16:00) at Aqualandia is half-price and includes free re-entry the next day.
