Tenant law (LAU)

Spain's tenant law (Ley de Arrendamientos Urbanos) gives long-term tenants 5–7 years of rental protection — strong renter rights.

Deposits

1 month fianza (legal deposit) + optional 1–2 months additional guarantee. The fianza is held by the regional government.
