Non-residents: flat 19% (EU) / 24% (non-EU). Residents: 19–28% sliding scale.

Main-residence relief

Residents over 65 selling their main home are fully exempt. Under-65 residents can defer by reinvesting in another main home.

Non-resident withholding

Buyer withholds 3% of the sale price and pays it to the tax office as an advance on your CGT.
